U.S. Adults Forgo Routine Immunization

Only about a third of seniors decided to get a vaccination against pneumonia in 2008. Only a quarter of adults that U.S. health officials claim “should” receive Merck’s Streptococcus vaccine Pneumovax get it.

Only 36 percent of all adults were vaccinated against the seasonal flu in 2008, and only about 2 percent of adults had tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough vaccines.

All told, millions of American adults go without routine vaccinations every year. The linked article below argues that this is a bad idea.  In my opinion, vaccines are a “cure” far worse than the diseases they fail to protect you from.
